First VivaMax Original ‘Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar’ trailer earns more than 10 million views [Streaming on Jan 29]
The first VivaMax Original “Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar” (When I Grow Up, I Want to be a Pornstar) puts together Alma Moreno, Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, and Rosanna Roces in one funny and sexy film. The iconic sexy stars of “bold films” in the past are joined by showbiz newcomers AJ Raval, Rose Van Ginkel, and Ana Jalandoni.
The story revolves around the fulfillment of a dying man’s wish to bring back the glory days of Philippine sex cinema. In the movie, Ara is like a daughter to the man who happens to be the founder of “bomba films.”
Tagged as the “Four Relevant Women of Philippine Sex Cinema,” the lead stars Ara, Osang, Alma, and Maui join forces to educate the younger ones Sofia (Rose Van Ginkel), Agatha (Ana Jalandoni), and Twinkle (AJ Raval), the art of seduction and sexiness.
Written and directed by Darryl Yap (Jowable, Sakristan), Pornstar reveals not just flesh and persona but it also provides insights on why pornography is consumed.
The film’s official trailer immediately earned 6 million views across media platforms 48 hours after release. As of this writing, views have reached more than 10 million. Some of the comments on Viva Films YouTube page read: *“Kahit medyo sensitive ang tema, napakagaling pa rin ng 4 na ‘to. Walang kupas ang ganda nila,” referring to Alma, Ara, Osang, and Maui. The support for director Darryl Yap is also evident. “With this dying film industry, it takes guts to make a movie this liberated and open minded. This movie reunites Ara Mina and Maui Taylor who both starred in “Ang Huling Birhen sa Lupa” (2003) 17 years ago. This is also Ara’s second time to work with Rosanna Roces after the film “Curacha Ang Babaeng Walang Pahinga” (1998) and her first time to work with Alma Moreno, also known as Loveliness and Tangga Queen.
AJ Raval, daughter of ‘90s action star Jeric Raval, is ready for the limelight as a budding pornstar in the movie. She is joined by Rose Van Ginkel (Talk Back and You’re Dead), also a recording artist under Viva Records, and Ana Jalandoni, one of the Sexy Angels on “Ang Probinsyano” and a content creator on Oomph TV.
