Vice Ganda continues to be one of the country’s most trusted brand endorsers. A few days ago, she was launched as the newest face of international fast food chain McDonald’s here in the Philippines. In a brightly colored 45-second TV commercial, Vice is seen in her usually bubbly self biting into a crispy-looking piece of fried chicken while dropping the lines, “Nice! Ganda! And I am Vice Ganda!” The brand affiliation spills over in Vice’s other appearances. She takes her endorsements to heart that she got herself into a trending “brand-agulan” (brand bardagulan / banter) with co-host Anne Curtis.

While Vice and Anne have long been observed to find themselves in the same brand arena, from BLK Cosmetics and Vice Cosmetics to Lazada and Shopee, their affiliations with top fast food chains Jollibee and McDonald’s still gained attention. The trending and unplanned playful “fight” happened last October 28. It was all in the spirit of fun.

Only a day following Vice Ganda’s debut as McDonald’s Philippines endorser, a delightful banter ensued between the two stars. In their conversation, Vice cleverly referenced McDonald’s jingle in the earlier part of the show and later, one of the Mini Miss U contestants innocently but directly name-dropping Jollibee during the Q&A stirred teasing and exchange. This prompted Anne Curtis to say in jest, “Naiganti ako!”
