Vice Ganda graced the 20th wedding anniversary celebration of celebrity couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas as one of the special guests. The occasion also marked the 18th birthday of Christopher and Gladys’ son, Christophe.
In a speech, Vice shared how close he is to Gladys and even when they do not see each other that often, they keep their communication lines open. The It’s Showtime host happily shared how Gladys has earned the right to nag him when he does not reply to her text messages. That is also the reason why he makes sure to squeeze in sending his replies to her text messages despite his busy schedule.
Also in the heartfelt message to Gladys, Vice expressed his desire for them to collaborate in his upcoming film with the acclaimed director Jun Robles Lana. Having seen Gladys’ work in the movie “Kwentong Barbero” directed by Lana, Vice found the timing opportune. “Napanood ko kasi yung movie niya, yung ‘Kwentong Barbero,’ meron akong project with Direk Jun. Sabi ko ay sakto, eh Jun Lana baby siya, so sabi ko sana sa next project ko sabihin ko kay Direk Jun magsama na kami sa next project ko,” the Unkabogable star said. This is certainly something to look forward to.
Vice Ganda has consistently shattered box-office records with his films, including notable titles such as The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin (2011), Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy (2013), Beauty and the Bestie (2015), and The Super Parental Guardians (2016).
Jun Lana is renowned for directing blockbuster hits like Die Beautiful (2016) and The Panti Sisters (2019). He has also garnered acclaim for critically lauded works such as Kalel, 15 (2019) and About Us But Not About Us (2023). His most recent project is the 2023 MMFF official entry Becky and Badette starring comediennes Pokwang and Eugene Domingo.
