Harvard acknowledges OPM alumni in inaugural Leadership Excellence Awards
Harvard OPM (Owner/President Management Program) presented its inaugural Leadership Awards to acknowledge the outstanding achievements and impactful contributions of Harvard OPM graduates in the Philippines.
Pinky Tobiano, founder and chairman of Harvard OPM Philippines, welcomed everyone to the event with her dynamic leadership. Under her guidance, Harvard OPM Philippines has gained global recognition, inspiring Filipinos and SMEs to excel in entrepreneurship.
Erik Santos, known for teleserye themes and as the Prince of Pop, serenaded graduates and guests. The event celebrated outstanding achievements, including the Harvard OPM Lifetime Achievement Award for Henry Lim Bong Liong, who transformed the rice industry, envisioning a self-sufficient Philippines.
Rajan Uttamchandani received the Harvard OPM Award for Leadership Excellence in Finance and Business Advisory through Esquire Financing. Other awardees included Wilson Lim, founder of Abenson Group, and Chan Kok Bin, the force behind CLN, a dominant Filipino fashion brand.
Ray Florence Reyes, a healthcare advocate, received an honorary award for his contributions. William Tiu Lim’s story of building Mega Fishing Corporation, a leading canned goods manufacturer, was recognized. Roswell Limsui, leader of New Panay Agri-Ventures Development and RL Royal Prime Construction, was praised for his entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Pinky Tobiano, aside from leading Harvard OPM Philippines, runs a veterinary facility and contributes to philanthropic causes. She also formed a joint venture with Bureau Veritas to give Filipino chemists a global voice.
CNN Philippines anchor Rico Hizon received the Harvard OPM special award for Truth in Journalism. Captain Stanley Ng Kua, from ground-level airport crew to president and COO of Philippine Airlines, received the Leadership Excellence award. Notably, he flew the aircraft with President Bongbong Marcos to the ASEAN Summit.
Overall, the event recognized and celebrated diverse accomplishments in various fields, showcasing leaders who have made significant contributions to their industries and communities.
