Phoebe Walker steps into the big screen as the ‘Buy Bust Queen’

Pinoy Films and Entertainment Production, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), has unveiled a compelling new advocacy film. Directed by JR Olinares, the movie stars Viva artist Phoebe Walker in the lead role, with a notable appearance by PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva portraying himself on screen.
Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Ritz Azul, Maxine Medina, Ellaine Ochoa, Cheng Allesa, Ameera Johara, Ayeesha Ceventes, and Ervic Vijandre, alongside Christian Vazquez, Alex Medina, and Ping Medina, Jeffrey Santos, Ricardo Cepeda, and Dindo Arroyo.
Director III Charlene Magdurulang, known as the ‘Buy Bust Queen,’ served as the inspiration for Phoebe Walker’s character. Beginning as a female agent, she rose to become the Regional Director of PDEA Region 13 CARAGA.
The film chronicles the journeys of seven remarkable women who defy gender norms, showcasing their unwavering commitment and resilience in a traditionally male-dominated field. Their dedication stems from a profound sense of morality, forming an unshakable foundation.
The storytelling in the film is executed masterfully, drawing viewers into the agency’s inner workings from the opening scenes. The narrative is grounded in factual accuracy, shedding light on the challenges faced by PDEA agents in their line of work.
