In a return to the shores of Subic Bay, the highly anticipated My Daily Collagen Triathlon is gearing up to make waves once again on March 10, 2024. The announcement, made during a press conference at the Limbaga 77 Cafe Restaurant in Quezon City, has sent ripples of excitement throughout the Philippine triathlon community.

Since its inception, My Daily Collagen Triathlon has emerged as a beacon for both seasoned triathletes and newcomers alike, attracting participants from all corners of the country. With its reputation for providing safe and beginner-friendly courses, the event has become a staple in the triathlon calendar.

Event director Oliver Salas, speaking with confidence during the press conference, assured participants of an unforgettable experience. “It’s going to be the best race ever. From the preparation, I’m guaranteed that you’ll be enjoying this race,” Salas proclaimed, exuding enthusiasm for the upcoming event. “Walang kakabahan dito, it’s very safe. Aside from great experience, maraming surprise ang dapat abangan,” he added, hinting at exciting surprises in store for participants.

With two major categories – the Olympic distance and the Sprint division – participants can choose between challenging themselves with a 1.5km swim, 40km bike, and 10km run, or opting for the shorter but equally demanding 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.

The event, which began in 2019, has steadily grown in popularity, with organizers witnessing an increasing number of registrations each year. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, My Daily Collagen Triathlon persevered, holding a successful virtual race in 2020 before returning to in-person racing last year.

This year, athletes can look forward to a new and exhilarating running course, to be unveiled during the race briefing on March 9. With meticulous planning and a focus on safety, organizers have ensured that the event caters to participants of all levels, offering mostly flat courses for a beginner-friendly experience.

Nylah Bautista, race director and World Ironman qualifier, expressed confidence in the event’s ability to meet the needs of triathletes, emphasizing its appeal to beginners. “We want to inspire people to pursue what motivates them,” Bautista remarked, highlighting the inclusive nature of the My Daily Collagen Triathlon.

As registration and kit claiming kick off at the Segara Hotel on March 9, anticipation is reaching fever pitch for the main event on March 10 at 6 am at Boardwalk, Subic Bay. With over 400 participants expected to take part, the stage is set for another unforgettable edition of the My Daily Collagen Triathlon, where athletes will push their limits, forge new friendships, and create lasting memories against the stunning backdrop of Subic Bay.
